The Grand Caribe Deep Sea Classic, held July 16–19 in Belize, targets blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, and spearfish in the waters off Ambergris Caye. The tournament offers more than $100,000 in cash and prizes, with blue marlin requiring a minimum weight of 250 pounds or 86 inches from tip of lower jaw to fork of tail to qualify for points. Release-only scoring applies to white marlin, sailfish, and spearfish, while wahoo, dorado, and tuna are weighed in at the tournament base.
